Senior Rural Business Consultant
David owns the business of DJM Consulting which he started in 2004. Following an upbringing in Wales he originally started his working life as a farm worker for two years before attending college and university and gaining a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture with Agricultural Economics.
David moved to Lincolnshire soon after university and gained considerable experience of arable farming in the eastern counties whilst working here and at his following post where he set up an agricultural consultancy department from scratch.
After twenty years of practice, David set up DJM Consulting which specialises in all aspects of farm and rural business management. Specialist areas include budgeting, grant funding, expert witness and an immense knowledge of government schemes including the Single Payment Scheme.
Stuart Dickinson BSc (Hons) FACTS
Rural Business Consultant
Stuart joined DJM Consulting on a part time basis during university vacations in April 2005 and on a fulltime basis in January 2007 after completing his BSc (Hons) in Agriculture with Land and Farm Management at Harper Adams University College in 2006.
Having been brought up on family farm in Lincolnshire, he gained practical experience on several large arable farms in the area before and during university.
Stuart has been involved with a range of work including strategic and technical advice, farm budgets, grant funding as well as Single Payment and Environmental Stewardship schemes.
Sarah Pritchard
Rural Business Administrator
Sarah joined DJM Consulting in April 2005 and carries out all of the administration of the company including accounts, PAYE and secretarial duties. She has extensive knowledge of the agricultural community in Shropshire and Herefordshire having lived and worked in the Bridgnorth and Ludlow area throughout her life.
Deborah Meredith BA (Hons) PGCE CEVAS
Business Development Consultant
Deborah has been involved with projects at DJM Consulting since the business started. Having graduated from college with a ND in Art and Design and university with a BA (Hons) in Conservation and Restoration, she used her skills of conservation, graphic design and marketing to progress her career.
Following work in stone conservation, Deborah studied for her Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) which lead to four years of teaching the 4-14 years age group.
Deborah specialises in the development of diversification activities of agricultural resources and is particularly experienced in the area of farm and countryside education being accredited by the Countryside and Educational Visits Accreditation Scheme (CEVAS).
